Before the cloth is cut
Measure gently. Cloth is forgiving.
Every piece is dyed and finished by hand, so a half-inch here or there is the nature of the work rather than a fault in it. Take your measurements in inches, then read them against the table below.

Measure over the skin
Bare, or over the thinnest thing you own. Keep the tape level and let it rest — do not pull it tight against yourself.
Cloth moves
Our pieces are cut generously so the indigo can fall. If you sit between two sizes, take the smaller one for fitted dresses and the larger for kimonos and sets.
Wrappers and yardage
Cloth is sold by the yard at 45 inches wide. Two yards dresses most bodies as a wrapper; five yards is the usual length for a full set.
